Résumé : Si l’on accepte de s’écarter du modèle de la cure-type, si l’on suspend et même renonce à l’art de l’interprétation, si l’on admet que le temps nous sera compté, on peut considérer qu’une pratique analytique peut être échafaudée dans un cadre aussi particulier qu’un service d’hôpital psychiatrique. Le récit d’une hospitalisation illustrera cette pratique singulière, parfois étrange, qui fait appel à des objets réels, à des actes, et qui entraîne l’analyste, l’infirmière et le patient à renouer avec l’enfant en chacun des protagonistes de la scène, par la mise en jeu d’identifications mutuelles.

If one accepts to set the form of the model cure aside, if one suspends or even renounces the art of interpretation for a moment, if one can admit that time is here going to be counted, then one can perhaps consider that analytical practice can be set up even within the highly specific confines of a psychiatric hospital. The story of a patient’s spell in one such institution illustrates this particular practice, particular in that it calls upon real objects and acts which lead the analyst, nurse and patient to re-bond with the child that lies deep within each of them in a play upon mutual identifications.
